Part TED-style talk, part pitch fest, Slow Money’s new project Gatheround is your chance to learn about a specific food industry and connect with early stage entrepreneurs who are seeking funding. The live online event will feature a cutting-edge thought leader and a handful of small food entrepreneurs who are leading the charge in the food movement and building principled early-stage companies.
The project launches October 22nd at 12pm PST with 90 minute program that features Sandor Katz, author of the New York Times bestseller “The Art of Fermentation” plus four fermented food entrepreneurs.
At the end of the Gatheround, the audience will choose one of the presenting entrepreneurs to receive the money raised from the event as a 0%, 3 year loan. Upon repayment, the funds are recycled into the pool for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, which is given, by popular vote, at Slow Money National Gatherings.
You can register for the first Gatheround with a minimum $25 tax deductible donation. If you can’t make it live, your registration gives you access to the full recording.
